Context
Yamata is a decentralized exchange focused on secure, mobile-first cross-chain trading. I’m currently leading product design for the MVP, collaborating with the team to define core flows and scalable components that will serve both early adopters and future power users.
Challenge
DEX platforms are often complex, fragmented, and hard to navigate — especially on mobile. Our goal is to simplify trading without sacrificing security or flexibility, and to deliver a clean MVP under tight time constraints to support early development and adoption.

What I’m Leading
• Conducted early user interviews to uncover friction in cross-chain workflows
• Designing the full product experience: onboarding, trading, portfolio, and security UX
• Created a mobile-first responsive system with clear, touch-friendly navigation
• Collaborating closely with developers to align on build-ready flows
• Iterating based on usability testing to validate design assumptions
Current Progress
• Core UX flows and high-fidelity UI for trading, wallet connect, and portfolio are complete
• MVP is in active development with final features and adjustments in motion
• Usability testing has shown early signs of reduced friction and higher engagement
• Launch timeline and performance metrics are being tracked post-release for future iterations
